Hey, I'm Lucas Maia, and I have been working in tech since 2020.
Before I started architecting scalable codebases, I grinded my way up as a professional poker player to 4th in the online world rankings in 2018, outsmarting opponents in multi-tabling tournaments. That same relentless systems-thinking and hunger for calculated advantage drew me into the startup world, ignited by innovative tech and bold ideas. I joined a promising venture as Product Manager, but rapidly expanded to own the full operation—steering product strategy, business decisions, ops, alignment, and high-stakes leadership at de facto VP of Product scope.
The founders offered me the CEO chair, but I folded for the deeper play: software engineering lets me return to that pure, high-leverage 'flow state' of solving hard problems with precision and ownership, where I now architect robust, scalable systems from the ground up with the strategic depth, calculated aggression, and unyielding focus that defined every chapter before.
